The Red Wine Emilio Moro from Bodegas Emilio Moro presents this red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, made from 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) grape varieties. Elegant and subtle, marked by very limited production that brings out the finest essences. It is a powerful, balanced wine with supernatural elegance, with Tempranillo aromas refined through aging. This wine is an excellent representative of what a very good “generic” from Ribera del Duero should be. The wine that bears the winery’s name is its undisputable reference and best calling card since 1998. Made with grapes from vineyards between 10 and 25 years old, it has set a style in the region that has been imitated endlessly. However, the Moros continue to perfect it year after year, offering great expression and flavor without resorting to high concentrations. Its fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with subsequent aging in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. The vineyard from which the grapes used to make this wine come is located in Pesquera de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, and grows on clay-limestone-rocky soils. Bodegas Emilio Moro: The Moro family’s history has been written since 1932 as a three-generation project rooted in Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of their terroir to transmit them in wines with personality. Currently Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located around Pesquera de Duero, the founder’s birthplace, in the heart of Ribera del Duero.
