Bodegas y Viñedos Ilurce presents their Red Wine Ilurce Joven made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. We’re looking at a young wine that showcases the most fruity character of this variety.
Do you remember that mischievous baby that for us was our “Ilurce Rosado”? Here we have now a young one, older, but with great and playful vitality, as shown by the slingshot. That’s what we try to convey through “Ilurce Tempranillo Joven”.
Vineyard
We use fresh Tempranillo for this wine grown in two distant areas, but which have in common the altitude and are late harvest plots.
Winemaking
Due to the dates when these vineyards ripen, it’s very common that we can organize manual harvesting on very cool mornings, so we manage to vat the destemmed grapes at temperatures around 10°C; being able to extend the maceration before alcoholic fermentation begins. This allows us, with short vatting times, to create very aromatic wines with intense color.
