Finca Montalvillo

The White Wine Finca Montalvillo from Bodegas Finca Montalvillo presents this white wine from D.O.Ca La Rioja (Spain), created from grape varieties 80% Tempranillo and 20% Viura. These grapes have been obtained from plots situated at high altitude in vineyards with northwest orientation composed of clay soil with limestone and considerable river stones. Winemaking: Half fermented in second-use French oak barrels while the other half in a stainless steel tank with indigenous yeasts. Aging: Light aging in barrels and concrete tanks. Finca Montalvillo occupies an extensive hillside of the Sierra de Yerga, in the easternmost part of Rioja. This estate is framed by the wide Ebro valley and the mountains. It has 240 hectares of vineyards, 15 of them organic cultivation, composed of four red varieties and seven white ones.
