The Valbusenda Abios Red Wine with D.O. Toro (Spain) is produced 100% with Tinta de Toro and aged for 18 weeks in Bordeaux barrels, from Bodegas Valbusenda. Valbusenda Abios can be consumed between 12°C – 14°C and pairs well with stews, casseroles, braises, red meats, and even fatty fish such as cod, salmon or conger eel. It is made with manual harvest, cluster selection that preserves its distinct terroir, cold maceration with its skins and alcoholic fermentation in contact with the grape skins. Subsequent malolactic fermentation in French oak Barrel-Box tanks. Bodegas Valbusenda is located on the banks of the Duero. The climatic conditions, its Tinta de Toro grape and its sandy soils with gravel and clay content, make it a favorable viticultural zone for vine cultivation. The time the grapes spend in barrels is determined by the type of vineyard, grape, wine, tasting and the age of the barrels, with the objective that each of their wines present minimal variations year after year. Valbusenda has a park with capacity for 2000 barrels, where aging takes place in 225l capacity Bordeaux barrels with a useful life of approximately 4 years. Currently their parks reach 626 between French and American oak, with different toasting levels and from different cooperages of proven quality such as Radoux, Demptos or Seguin Moreau. It also has more than 54 cellars, with an Ampelographic Garden and a Training Vineyard, dedicated to the study of different planting systems.
