Finca Encomienda de Cervera presents the Red Wine Maar D Cervera Graciano, originating from the Campo de Calatrava Volcanic Massif, Almagro (Spain) and made from 100% Graciano grapes. Awards: Mundus Vini Gold 2021, James Suckling 2020, 90 Points, Gran Casino de Madrid Wine Competition 2021, Silver, Virtus 2022 Lisboa, Gold 2022 Virtus. This wine is an expressive jewel in which its volcanic character and special mineralization can be appreciated. A singular structure of character that persuades the taster’s senses. Suitable for immediate consumption although it is recommended to store it to acquire greater balance and complexity. It has a natural cork stopper and its production is traditional through pump-overs. 20-day maceration with 12 months aging in French and American oak barrels. Finca Encomienda de Cervera is located in the heart of the Campo de Calatrava Volcanic Massif at an altitude between 750 and 850 meters above sea level, in the territory of the noble and cultural city of Almagro, delimited by the Sierra de Arzollar, the Cañada Real Soriana, between valleys and mountains with great density of holm oaks and junipers, rosemary, thyme, etc., where the black lands of volcanic origin, the red ones (Almagre) that, according to some historians, give name to the city of Almagro, and the limestone and stony ones can be distinguished. All this, under the watchful eye of the Maar Volcano of Hoya de Cervera, declared a Natural Monument in 1999, and the calm waters of one of the main tributaries of the Guadiana river, the Jabalón river. The rugged orography, which configures its three rainfall basins, offers a peculiar microclimate, with cool nights that compensate for daytime sun exposure.
