Sanamaro White Wine
Sanamaro Wine is a white wine with D.O. Rías Baixas designation and is made with Albariño 90% and Loureiro 10% grape varieties, from Bodega Marqués de Vargas. It is a unique wine from Pazo de San Mauro that is born from the selection of Albariño and Loureiro grapes from the La Fraga and Los Bancales plots, the oldest vineyards in Condado de Tea. This vineyard extends over terraces of river stones on the banks of the Miño River, creating a natural amphitheater facing south. The vines are planted in semi-pergolas so that the fruits, with very restricted production, grow in optimal conditions and reach their maximum quality.
The vineyards enjoy an exceptional microclimate with many hours of sun exposure, allowing them to reach their most complete and early ripening. Sanamaro white wine is made only in years of fullness when excellent phenolic maturation of the grape is achieved.
Aging is done on lees with a meticulous bâtonnage process for several months to enhance the expressiveness of the ripe fruit, accompanied by balsamic notes and the minerality provided by the Galician granite soil. The best clusters are selected and depending on their characteristics, 1/3 are processed as whole clusters which brings freshness to the wine and 2/3 with destemmed grapes that are cold macerated for several hours before pressing to extract the maximum identity of aromas.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 10°C and 12°C.
