This is the Vega Sicilia without a vintage year and serves as a tribute to tradition. The Red Wine Vega Sicilia Único Reserva Especial is the faithful reflection of the cult of Spanish wine history that perfectly combines the qualities of different Unico harvests. Only the best vintages of Unico are used to produce this emblematic and extraordinarily complex wine, a blend of years, virtues, experiences and feelings that do nothing but outline the deepest essence of a unique and unrepeatable style, the Vega Sicilia style. Unico Reserva Especial 2020 consists of 59 barrels with vintages 2008, 2009 and 2010, made from 94% Tinto Fino and 6% Cabernet-Sauvignon varieties. Variety 94% Tinto Fino and 6% Cabernet-Sauvignon. Average vineyard age 36 years. Vineyard surface 210 ha (Finca Vega Sicilia). Planting density 2,222 plants/ha. Altitude 700 – 900 m. Yield 3,000-3,500 kg/ha 21-24.5 Hl/ha. Manual harvest in 12 kg boxes. This wine is ready to drink now but has an aging potential of 40 to 60 years if stored in optimal conditions: 12-14°C and 60% relative humidity. It is recommended to consume at 16°C.
