Altos del Valdoso Crianza

The Red Wine Altos de Valdoso Crianza from Grupo Bodegas Olarra presents us with this Red Wine from D.O Ribera del Duero (Spain) made with the Tempranillo grape variety. Vineyards: Their 138 hectares of vineyard are located at 1,000 meters altitude. 100% Tempranillo, with an average age of 35 years. For our Crianza, we hand-harvest our medium-aged vines (between 25 and 30 years). Production: The maceration and fermentation process lasted 15 days followed by malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. The wood aging lasted 14 months. The barrels used are American and French oak with an average age of 2 years. Subsequently, the wine was refined in bottle for about 12 months before its market release. Bodegas y Viñedos Casa del Valle represents the heritage of the culture and philosophy of renowned Châteaux. From the Castilla La Mancha region, wines have been created and produced following a Vinos de Pago philosophy with grape varieties from 82 hectares of new vineyard surrounding the winery with spectacular views. The varieties chosen, as they perform well in aging and adapt to the winery’s production methods, include varieties like Sauvignon Blanc (white), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah (red).
