Bodega Pagos del Rey presents the Red Wine Condado de Oriza Crianza, an outstanding representative of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin (Spain), crafted exclusively from 100% Tempranillo grape variety, also known as Tinta del País.

The grapes come from vineyards over 20 years old, carefully selected in the surroundings of Olmedillo de Roa (Burgos).

The process begins with rigorous grape selection, followed by a 2-day maceration period.

Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperatures between 25 and 28ºC, allowing maximum extraction of Tempranillo’s varietal expression. Once fermentation is complete, the wine undergoes 14 months of aging in new American oak barrels. This aging grants the wine its aromatic complexity and tannic structure. After this barrel period, the wine is bottled and remains in bottle for 9 months, refining its characteristics before reaching the market. Awards: The Condado de Oriza Crianza 2021 has been awarded the gold medal at the prestigious 2024 Mundus Vini competition, and has received the BEST OF SHOW Ribera del Duero in Retail Markets recognition, which underscores its high quality and the dedication in its crafting. In the last three decades, the D.O Ribera del Duero has established itself as one of Spain’s most important wine regions. Located on the northern plateau, it encompasses the provinces of Burgos, Segovia, Soria and Valladolid. Despite its name, it doesn’t cover the entire Duero river, but includes more than 100 towns. Currently, Ribera del Duero has more than 250 wineries and over 22,000 hectares of vineyard, focused mainly on red wine production.
