From the heart of the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin, Duque de Arcas Crianza presents itself as a red wine with a Mediterranean soul and continental structure, the result of respectful work in vineyard and winery. Crafted from a careful selection of Bobal, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this wine elegantly expresses the richness of the terroir and the expertise of Latorre Bodegas.
The grapes come from the El Parreño and Casa Garrido estates, where vines between 25 and 30 years old are cultivated, planted at an altitude ranging from 600 to 800 meters above sea level. This altitude, together with the continental climate with Mediterranean influence, favors a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes, preserving their freshness and natural acidity. The loamy-clay soil contributes to the development of expressive and well-structured fruit, perfect for aging. Committed to responsible viticulture, the vineyards are worked under integrated agriculture, combining sustainable practices with rigorous quality control. Only the best grapes are selected to craft this wine, which represents a perfect harmony between modernity and tradition. The Red Wine Duque de Arcas Crianza ages for nine months in French and American oak barrels, which gives it structure, roundness and elegance, without hiding the personality of the fruit. This aging allows for complex evolution, where subtle notes of spices, toast and vanilla integrate with the fruity power of Bobal, the smoothness of Tempranillo and the intensity of Cabernet Sauvignon. In the glass, it presents an attractive cherry red color with garnet reflections.
On the nose, it is complex and harmonious, with aromas of ripe red fruits, spices and balsamic touches.
On the palate it is balanced, with smooth tannins, good acidity and a long, persistent finish. Recommended to be served between 12 and 14°C, this wine pairs perfectly with red meats, traditional stews, cured sausages and semi-cured cheeses.
