The La Felisa Ecológico Red Wine from Bodegas Emilio Moro presents us with this red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, crafted from 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) grape varieties. Felisa was the cornerstone of the Moro family and now her children pay tribute to her. This wine is the brand’s first organic and added sulfite-free wine. It is made with grapes from medium-aged vineyards (between 15 and 25 years old).

The vineyards from which the grapes used to make this wine come are located in Pesquera de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, and grow on clay-loam soils. La Felisa is crafted from organic grapes without the use of sulfur dioxide, fermented at controlled temperature, macerated for 15 days with skins and subsequently aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 225 to 500 liters.

Recommended serving temperature: Between 16 and 18ºC.

Bodegas Emilio Moro
The history of the Moro family has been written since 1932 as a three-generation project rooted in Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of their terroir to convey them in wines with personality. Emilio Moro was born in 1932 in Pesquera de Duero, one of Spain’s most coveted wine regions. As a child he trampled grapes in his village’s wine presses and at age 14 he sold wine jugs with his father in the area. In 1987 Emilio and his sons, José and Javier, decided to produce and market their own wines, betting on native Tempranillo clone vines. Currently Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in the surroundings of Pesquera de Duero, birthplace of the winery’s founder, in the heart of Ribera del Duero.
