The Red Wine Treinta Mil Maravedíes is a wine crafted with an excellent combination of Garnacha and Morenillo varieties. They come from vineyards between 30 and 70 years old with heavily weathered granitic soil, sandy texture and rich in organic matter. These grapes are adapted to a dry Mediterranean climate where summers are hot and winters are long and cold. It belongs to Bodega Marañones and has been crafted with manual harvest in 18-kilo boxes. It features a cold pre-fermentative maceration process, then ferments in wooden vats and subsequently is transferred to new and used French oak barrels. The aging period is divided so that for 8 months the aging is carried out with its own lees in barrel and subsequently has an assemblage aging in 4,500-liter wooden vats for approximately 2 months.
Serve this wine at a temperature of 16º.
