Bodegas y Viñedos Anceña presents the Terraesteban Author Red Wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero (Spain), crafted from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. The Terraesteban Author Red Wine is an exceptional wine whose grapes come from 91-year-old vineyards, cultivated in bush vine system with a limited yield of 2,500 Kg/Ha. These vineyards are located on clay-gravel soils, on a well-oriented slope that provides ideal conditions for vine development. The wine is crafted exclusively with the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) variety.

The harvest is carried out meticulously, manually selecting the clusters in 10 kg boxes, evaluating phenolic maturity and cluster quality. They are harvested early to avoid sun exposure and maintain optimal grape quality. Once at the winery, the grapes are received on a vibratory selection table to ensure their integrity.

Elaboration is performed with extreme care, filling the tanks in less than one hour to avoid oxidation. After a minimum 48-hour pre-fermentative maceration, fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts controlled at temperatures below 28°C.

Total maceration lasts between 18 and 21 days, depending on the vintage and organoleptic analysis. During vinification, short and gentle pump-overs are performed 4 to 6 times daily, along with vigorous manual punch-downs for optimal color and aroma extraction. The wine is transferred to new barrels where it undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation at 22°C. Afterwards, it ages for 16 to 18 months in intensely toasted American oak barrels, selected French oak and Hungarian Central European oak. Terraesteban Author is a wine that reflects the excellence of its origin, with remarkable complexity and structure.

Its careful aging and barrel maturation provide elegance and character, making it a true jewel of viticulture.
