The Trispol Ecológico Vegano Red Wine from Bodega Mesquida Mora presents this red wine from the V.T. Mallorca Designation of Origin, made from grape varieties 43% Callet, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Syrah. In Mallorcan, “trispol” is the soil, one of the necessary elements to undertake a project like wine production. Trispol Red Wine is body, structure, a close way to connect with mother earth, which gives us life and wine. Vinification: Separate fermentation of the different grape types and post-fermentation maceration according to the varieties. Once racked, malolactic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks and then blended for the aging period (12 months) in 5000-liter vats and 225-liter French oak barrels. Mesquida Mora Vineyards: Mesquida Mora is a small winery, on a human scale, with a controllable and manageable vineyard extension that allows knowing every inch of land cultivated biodynamically. The winery’s viticultural puzzle consists of eight plots between 3 and 65 years old. Certified by the Consell Balear d’Agricultura Ecològica, these vineyards are planted on calcareous, clay and call vermell soils. All of them create a varietal mosaic where the first specimens of foreign varieties planted in Mallorca coexist with native Mallorcan varieties. With the desire to bequeath fertile and rich soils to future generations, vineyard management is based on dialogue with nature: cover crops are sown, compost and biodynamic preparations are applied, and medicinal plant infusions are used; gestures that help achieve optimal quality grapes, expressing the soil-climate-variety triangle.
