Crafted by Bodegas Casa La Rad under the quality seal of Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja (D.O.Ca Rioja). This wine perfectly represents the diversity and richness of the region, combining tradition and modernity in every stage of its production. The blend consists of 65% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha and 15% Mazuelo, Graciano, Maturana and other native varieties, which provides complexity, structure and great aromatic richness.

The grapes come from vineyards located between 530 and 650 meters altitude, with an average age of 25 years, planted on varied soils that include alluvial clays, limestone and rocky areas at higher altitude, all with surface vegetation.

The harvest takes place in the last week of September, at the optimal ripening moment for each variety. Vinification begins with direct pressing and flotation decanting, ensuring a clean and expressive must.

Alcoholic fermentation, with selected yeasts, is carried out at 16ºC for 9 days, which allows preserving the fruity and fresh aromas of the varieties. Subsequently, the wine is divided into two parts: half ages for a minimum of 9 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels of 225 liters, while the other half remains in stainless steel tanks.

Malolactic fermentation takes place in a combination of tanks and barrels, which favors a rounder texture and more integrated character. The result is a young red wine with crianza, which stands out for its red and black fruit aromas, light spicy notes and perfectly integrated wood touches.

On the palate it is flavorful, balanced and with good persistence, ideal to accompany grilled meats, cured meats and aged cheeses.
