Aroa Larrosa

The Rosé Wine Aroa Larrosa from Aora Bodegas presents us with this Rosé Wine from D.O Navarra (Spain) made with the Garnacha grape variety. Aroa Bodegas is a pioneer in the D.O Navarra as it has focused on recovering ecological and biodynamic agricultural practices. All the vineyards are organic, certified and controlled by CPAEN-NNPEK (Council of Ecological Agricultural Production of Navarra). This is why they care for their vineyards with ancestral methods, using only natural products that favor nature and allow it to do its work better. The Rosé Wine Aroa Larrosa comes from low-production vineyards located in the northern border area between the Urbasa and Andía mountain ranges. These are planted in calcareous clay soils that have never had contact with synthetic chemical products. This area is one of the highest in Navarra and stands out for its fresh climate due to the influence of the Cantabrian Sea, which contributes to the ripening of the varieties. Harvest: To make this wine, a harvest was carried out in mid-October and once in the winery, the clusters are taken to the selection table. For the 2017 harvest, there was a severe frost in April, high temperatures in May-June and during the summer a severe drought with occasional storms that resulted in a scarce harvest but the grapes harvested were of exceptional quality. Winemaking: Once in the winery, the direct bleeding process is carried out in tanks. Subsequently, fermentations are carried out at low temperatures of approximately 16ºC to preserve all the aromas and freshness of the grape.
