The White Wine Vile La Finca Albarín. This wine is made in Valdevimbre, in the province of León, an area where the few ALBARÍN grape vineyards are found. Specifically, the vineyards selected to produce Vile La Finca wine are located at 830 meters altitude and have very poor sandy-loamy soils with little organic matter and lots of pebbles, which allows soil aeration, promotes drainage and root development, and serves to “regulate” temperature, as during the day they “collect heat” and release it at night, avoiding large temperature contrasts, which favors vine development.
The harvest is carried out manually in 15kg boxes and at night, so that the grapes arrive fresh and in perfect condition at the winery, where they are destemmed, lightly pressed and transferred to French oak Bordeaux barrels where alcoholic fermentation takes place. When fermentation ends, aging is carried out with its lees for 16 months in the same barrels. This is a different wine that surprises, undoubtedly a great representative of the Albarín variety as it makes a very particular interpretation of this grape typical of the León region.
