Hermanos Lurton presents us with the White Wine Hermanos Lurton Verdejo from D.O. Rueda (Spain), made from 100% Verdejo grape varieties. This wine represents the essence of the Verdejo grape from the Lurton brothers’ vineyards, presenting itself as a dry and fruity wine that has become a benchmark since its creation in 1992. The Hermanos Lurton Verdejo is an authentic verdejo, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on fine lees for months. This lees aging process brings complexity and a round, full character to the wine, while maintaining its freshness and natural acidity.
On the nose, it shines with its mineral notes and white flowers, offering an aromatic experience that reflects the terroir from which it comes. This wine originates from the municipality of Villafranca de Duero, with vines located between 600 and 700 meters altitude on the plateau of the Rueda and Toro appellations. The proximity of the Duero River plays a crucial role, as it produces a buffering effect on thermal variations, which is beneficial for grape ripening. This unique environment provides ideal conditions for Verdejo grapes to develop their characteristic aromatic profile and balanced acidity. The Hermanos Lurton Verdejo not only stands out for its freshness and liveliness, but also for its ability to influence the style of Rueda wines in recent decades. Since its creation, it has set trends and been a reference for other producers in the region.
