W1 MABE White Wine

The W1 MABE White Wine is a creation of Dani MABE Wines, made from Albillo Mayor grapes, a native variety of Ribera del Duero. This wine reflects the dedication and experience of vineyard owner and winemaker Daniel Martínez Benito, who has managed to capture in each bottle the essence of the vineyards and the terroir of the region. Vineyards W1 MABE White Wine The vineyards from which W1 MABE comes are between 60 and 80 years old, located at an altitude of 850 to 890 meters. These sandy loam soils and the slopes with southwest and north orientation offer ideal conditions for cultivating Albillo Mayor, a variety characterized by its finesse and ability to adapt to climate adversities. This terrain allows the vine roots to penetrate deeply, ensuring optimal grape ripening despite difficult conditions such as water scarcity. Elaboration W1 MABE White Wine The elaboration process of W1 MABE White Wine begins with manual harvest, which guarantees careful selection of the best clusters. After harvest, pre-fermentative maceration is carried out at low temperature to extract all the aromas and flavors from the grapes. Alcoholic fermentation also takes place at low temperatures, followed by aging on fine lees in concrete tanks, which gives the wine greater complexity and texture in the mouth. To respect the wine’s nature to the maximum, filtration is very light, so it could present natural precipitates, something common in minimal intervention wines. Aging W1 MABE White Wine The aging is adjusted to each vintage’s potential, with the aim of preserving the wine’s personality. In the case of W1 MABE, it was carried out in second-use French oak barrels of 225 liters, which adds subtle wood notes without dominating the fresh and fruity character of Albillo Mayor.
