Conde Valdemar Reserva Magnum

The Conde Valdemar Reserva Magnum Red Wine is an oenological jewel that comes from Bodega Valdemar, one of the most prestigious wineries in the La Rioja wine region, Spain. Founded in 1889 by Joaquín Martínez Bujanda, this winery has been a reference in high-quality wine production for more than a century. The history of Bodega Valdemar has been built on a foundation of tradition and passion for viticulture. Throughout the years, it has been passed down from generation to generation, and is currently led by the fifth generation of the Martínez Bujanda family. The Conde Valdemar Reserva Magnum Red Wine is crafted from a careful selection of grapes from Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Maturana varieties. These varieties are native to the La Rioja region and each contributes unique characteristics to the final wine.

The Tempranillo grape is the main variety used in the production of this wine. It provides structure, elegance and fruity notes. Garnacha contributes body and smoothness, while Graciano adds complexity and spicy notes. Maturana, a native variety recovered by Bodega Valdemar, provides intensity and character. Once the grapes are selected, the wine production process begins. After fermentation, the wine undergoes an aging period of 19 months in French and American oak barrels. These barrels contribute vanilla, spice and toasted notes to the wine, complementing the characteristics of the grapes. During the aging period, the wine acquires greater aromatic complexity and the flavors from the grapes integrate with the contributions from the wood. Additionally, a slow evolution and maturation of the wine occurs, which gives it exceptional elegance and balance.
