The Red Wine Emilio Moro 50cl from Bodegas Emilio Moro presents us with this red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero, crafted from 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) grape varieties. Elegant and subtle, marked by very limited production that brings out the finest essences. It is a powerful, balanced wine with supernatural elegance, featuring the aromas of Tempranillo polished through aging. This wine is an excellent representative of what a very good «generic» Ribera del Duero should be. The wine that bears the winery’s name has been its undisputed reference and best calling card since 1998. Made with grapes from vineyards between 10 and 25 years old, it has established a style in the region that has been imitated endlessly. However, the Moros continue to perfect it year after year, offering great expression and flavor without resorting to high concentrations. Its fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with subsequent aging in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. The vineyard from which the grapes used to make this wine come is located in Pesquera de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, and grows on clay-limestone-rocky soils. Currently Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located around Pesquera de Duero, the birthplace of the winery’s founder, in the heart of Ribera del Duero.
