La Quinta Vendimia presents the Red Wine La Quinta Vendimia from the Denominación de Origen Ribera del Duero (Spain), made from 100% Tempranillo grape varieties, sourced from old vines (80 years) from Alcubilla del Marqués and Pedraja de San Esteban, Soria. This wine has been aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, which gives it unique complexity and depth. Our century-old vineyards, planted with Tinta del País (Tempranillo) and Albillo, are distributed in different orientations on loamy and sandy-loam soils. These soils present a variable presence of pebbles depending on the plot, which facilitates excellent drainage and optimal grape ripening. The diversity of soils and orientations contributes to the wine’s complexity and aromatic richness. The Red Wine La Quinta Vendimia is made exclusively with grapes from the Tinto del País (Tempranillo) variety from 80-year-old vineyards located in Alcubilla del Marqués, La Rasa and Pedraja de San Esteban, in the province of Soria.
The harvest is carried out manually, selecting the clusters at their optimal ripening point. After destemming and gentle pressing, the must ferments in controlled tanks to preserve its purity and freshness.
Aging is carried out for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, which provides complexity, structure and spiced notes to the wine. The Red Wine La Quinta Vendimia stands out for its deep and bright red color.
On the nose, it displays intense aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle spiced notes and touches of vanilla and cocoa from its oak aging.
On the palate, it is balanced and elegant, with well-integrated tannins and a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation. This wine is ideal to accompany grilled red meats, game stews, casseroles and aged cheeses. It is also fully enjoyed with Mediterranean cuisine dishes and traditional roasts.
