The red wine Matsu El Viejo is made with 100% Tinta de Toro.
The vineyards are over 100 years old, cultivated biodynamically with production. Manual harvest in the first half of October. This wine ferments and macerates in 10,000 kilogram concrete tanks for 3 weeks. It has 16 months of aging in new French oak barrels. This wine, the Elder of the Matsu Trilogy, represents the old winegrower, with the experience of age to express his serenity, perseverance and strength… Like the wine itself.
Serve this wine at a temperature between 16° and 18°C; it is recommended to decant before serving. PAIRING FOR MATSU EL VIEJO RED WINE: Especially recommended for all types of meat. TASTING NOTES FOR MATSU EL VIEJO RED WINE: Sight: Cherry red color with violet rim. Nose: Aromas of black fruits, toasted notes, spices and smoky notes. Palate: Fleshy and full-bodied.
