Perelada presents us with the Red Wine Perelada 5 Finques from D.O. Empordà, a wine region known for its extraordinary diversity of soils and microclimates. This wine is an impressive blend of six grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (42%), Merlot (19%), Syrah (14%), Samsó (14%), Garnatxa (7%) and Monastrell (4%), which captures the essence of the Empordà territory. The Perelada 5 Finques is a complex and robust red wine that reflects the heterogeneity of Empordà.
The grapes used in its production come from five different estates, each with its own type of soil: slate slopes, sandy plains, river sediments, lands rich in silts and clays, and gravel soils. This diversity of terrains contributes to creating a wine full of character and nuances. This wine has been aged for 18 months in Bordeaux barrels, with 50% fine American oak and 50% French Allier oak. This wood aging process provides it with remarkable structure and aromatic complexity that is complemented by its subsequent rest in bottle. The result is a balanced wine, with smooth tannins and a long, persistent finish. A Journey Through EmpordàPerelada 5 Finques is not just a wine, but a journey through the landscape of Empordà. Each sip offers a sensory experience that transports to the heart of this region, showing the influence of different microclimates and soils. The blend of grape varieties provides layers of flavors and aromas, from fruity and spicy notes to mineral and earthy touches.
