Bodegas y Viñedos Anceña presents the Red Wine Terraesteban Crianza from D.O. Ribera del Duero (Spain), made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grape varieties. The Red Wine Terraesteban Crianza is obtained from vines over 15 years old located in Quintanilla de Tres Barrios, in the province of Soria. This wine is 100% Tempranillo, from vineyards that produce less than 5,000 kg/Ha on dry land with poor soils, gravel stones, soft sands and limestone base, south-facing on slopes.

The harvest is carried out manually in 200 kg boxes and carefully selected in the vineyard before reaching the winery, where a vibratory selection table is used. The maximum time between harvest and vatting is 3 hours. After vatting, a minimum 48-hour pre-fermentation maceration and controlled fermentation at temperatures below 30ºC takes place.

Total maceration extends from 18 to 25 days with periodic pump-overs and manual punch-downs every 4 to 6 hours. After determining the end of maceration through tastings and chemical analysis, gentle pressing and racking proceeds after 48 hours to remove gross lees.

Spontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place at 22ºC. The wine ages in fine-grain American oak, split French oak and selected Hungarian oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, depending on the vintage. Subsequently, it rests in bottle racks for at least 6 months before going to market. Terraesteban Crianza reflects dedication and excellence in every step of its production, resulting in a complex, structured and elegant wine that captures the essence of its origin in the vineyards of Quintanilla de Tres Barrios.
