The White Wine Conde Valdemar Finca Alto Cantabria is a standout product from the renowned Bodega Valdemar, one of the most prestigious wineries in the La Rioja region, Spain. With a history dating back over 130 years, Valdemar has been a reference in high-quality wine production and has earned a solid reputation in the wine world. Bodega Valdemar was founded in 1889 by Joaquín Martínez Bujanda, and since then it has been a family business passed down from generation to generation. Over the years, the winery has combined tradition and innovation, using advanced viticultural techniques while respecting the traditional practices that have been fundamental to crafting exceptional wines. The White Wine Conde Valdemar Finca Alto Cantabria is made with grapes from the Alto Cantabria estate, located in the La Rioja Alta region. This estate has vineyards of indigenous grape varieties such as Viura and Malvasía. Viura is a white variety that brings elegance and freshness to the wine, while Malvasía adds an aromatic note and complexity.
The production of this white wine begins with careful selection of the grapes at optimal ripeness. After manual harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery where meticulous vinification takes place.
The grapes are gently pressed and fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, which allows the wine’s fruity aromas and flavors to be maintained. Once fermentation is complete, the wine undergoes an aging period in French oak barrels for several months. This aging adds complexity and structure to the wine, enhancing its unique characteristics. Finally, the wine is bottled and left to rest in the winery before going to market.
