The Red Wine Los Bayones Finca La Manga is an outstanding example of the viticultural richness of Castilla y León, specifically from the Denominación de Origen Toro in Zamora. This red wine, aged for 14 months in oak barrels, is a masterful creation from Bodegas Francisco Casas, S.A., under the expert direction of winemakers Eduardo Casas and Jesús García. Los Bayones Finca La Manga is crafted 100% with Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) grapes, a variety that brings depth and character to the wine.
The vineyards are situated on sandy-loam soils with a sandy layer at depth, and gentle undulations around the Duero valley, at an altitude of approximately 700 meters. These geographical characteristics provide optimal conditions for cultivating Tinta de Toro. The continental climate with Atlantic influences of the region, characterized by cold winters and hot summers with many hours of sunlight, along with significant thermal variations between day and night during the ripening stage, allows for obtaining high-quality grapes. Annual rainfall is close to 400 mm, which also contributes to the water balance of the vines.
The production process of Red Wine Los Bayones Finca La Manga begins with manual harvesting of grapes from vineyards between 15 and 40 years old planted in bush vine style. After careful selection, the grapes undergo controlled fermentation and subsequently the wine is aged for 14 months in oak barrels, which provides complexity and structure. Before commercialization, the wine is refined in bottle, ensuring perfect maturation and balance. The result is an elegant and well-structured red wine, with notes of ripe fruit, spices and a subtle touch of oak. Los Bayones Finca La Manga is ideal for accompanying red meats, game dishes and aged cheeses, offering a rich and memorable wine experience. This wine reflects the dedication and commitment to excellence of Bodegas Francisco Casas, S.A., providing an incomparable delight for the senses.
