Palmeri Adán Red Wine

The Palmeri Adán Red Wine is one of the most precious jewels of Bodega Palmeri Sicilia, crafted in the small municipality of Tabuenca, at the foot of Moncayo, within the prestigious Campo de Borja Denomination of Origin. This long-aged red wine reflects the essence of Aragonese Garnacha, interpreted with deep respect for tradition and meticulous artisanal work. With an alcohol content of 16%, the Palmeri Adán 2018 is an organic wine made from 100% Garnacha grapes, hand-selected from old vineyards located at high altitude. This wine pays homage to the great-grandfather of the Cuartero family, precursor of the winery in the 1950s, and is a tribute to the legacy and passion for viticulture in this unique region. During vinification, manual harvesting is carried out with a double selection of clusters, both in the vineyard and at the winery.

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak vats, which adds elegance and complexity. Subsequently, the wine ages 12 months in vats, followed by 36 months in 225-liter French and American oak barrels, and completes its refinement with 15 months in bottle. This aging is carried out in underground caves, where constant temperature ensures slow and harmonious evolution of the wine. To the eye, it presents a dark and bright cherry red color.

On the nose, it displays a wide aromatic range with ripe red and black fruits, herbaceous and mineral notes, along with elegant spicy and balsamic touches.

On the palate it is powerful and fleshy, with mature tannins, excellent balance between acidity and aging, and a long and persistent finish. Undoubtedly, a wine with great aging potential and an authentic expression of Moncayo terroir. The Palmeri Sicilia Project was born in 2012 thanks to the union of the Cuartero-Cuartero brothers and the Breitschmid Heiniger family, both committed to ecological and sustainable viticulture. The winery has 13 hectares of its own vineyards, some with vines over 50 years old, cultivated following organic principles and with low yields that guarantee exceptional quality.
