Red Wine Pintia is made from 100% Tinta de Toro variety from vines with an average age of 40-60 years. Its fermentation is 100% malolactic in new barrels: 70% Nevers, 30% American. Its barrel aging is 12 months with the rest in bottle until sale. Red Wine Pintia is the wine produced in D.O. Toro by the legendary Vega Sicilia winery. Red Wine Pintia vintage once again reaches the quality parameters we are accustomed to. Vega Sicilia decided to invest in D.O. Toro before this region experienced the boom that today makes it a leading area. Thus, Bodegas Pintia was born in 2001. For its location, Vega Sicilia chose the municipality of San Román de Hornija (Valladolid) for the great value of its old Tinta de Toro vineyards, the emblematic grape of D.O. Toro. Red Wine Pintia is a red wine with elegant fruity and floral aromas and a broad palate.
