Bodegas Vizar is located on an estate on the banks of the Duero River in the municipality of Villabañez (Valladolid), 22 kilometers from the capital. It has 90 hectares of land where the Winery and the entire vineyard are located.

The estate’s vineyards have witnessed various civilizations that populated Spain. The estate was historically part of the now disappeared town of Peñalba. The town emerged during the Reconquista on the southern bank of the Duero River, on the opposite side from the Christian lands. The estate once belonged to the Dukes of Alba, later passing through various hands over the centuries, until currently belonging to the Zarzuela family. The family, betting on the area and its rural environment, and believing in the potential of the estate and vineyards, brings quality wines to the market.
