The White Wine Las Margas Garnacha Blanca Vegan is crafted with the garnacha blanca grape variety from vineyards belonging to the D.O.P. Cariñena in the Sierra de Algairén, an area of grey, poor and eroded soils where the elegant garnacha blanca finds its paradise. The cultivation of these vines is carried out organically and manually by local viticulturist families who know the terrain perfectly. The grapes come from selected vineyards between 450 and 725 meters altitude on calcareous clay soils with yields always controlled below 5000kg per hectare.
The harvest of grapes for the Las Margas Garnacha Blanca white wine is carried out manually in boxes in the early morning hours. For vinification, cold maceration and low-temperature fermentation are performed. Subsequently, the Las Margas white wine undergoes aging on lees for 4 months, 75% in stainless steel and the other 25% in 500-liter oak barrels, which provides aromatic complexity and structure to the wine, making its mouthfeel very pleasant and perfect for pairing with white meats, salmon tartare or eggplant moussaka. Additionally, the Las Margas Garnacha Blanca white wine is certified Vegan. We recommend serving Las Margas garnacha blanca wine between 7 and 9 degrees temperature. The Las Margas Garnacha Blanca white wine belongs to Bodem Bodegas. Bodem means «soil» in Dutch, truly symbolizing the origin of this Dutch-rooted winery. After more than 25 years working and living for Spanish wine, the Geirnaerdt-van Ekeris family found in Cariñena the place they felt deeply connected to. That is why Bodem is not just another winery, but a firm commitment to Spanish wine, to the Garnacha variety both red and white, and ultimately, to a dream.
