Buying white wine with elegance, freshness and complexity is an experience offered by Viña Solarce White Wine, crafted by Bodegas Casa La Rad under the quality seal of Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja (D.O.Ca Rioja). This singular white wine is the result of a careful combination of varieties: 50% Viura, 20% Malvasía, 15% Chardonnay and 15% Tempranillo Blanco, which give it an aromatic richness and balanced structure that is hard to match.
The grapes come from vineyards located between 530 and 650 meters altitude, with an average age of 25 years. These vineyards are distributed across different areas of the estate and grow on alluvial clay soils, limestone and rocky terrain, with surface vegetation, which favors optimal ripening and brings minerality and expressiveness to the wine.
The harvest takes place in the third week of September, carefully selecting the grapes at their optimal point of ripeness. The must is obtained through direct pressing, followed by flotation decantation to guarantee its cleanliness and freshness.
Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 16ºC for 9 days, thus preserving the varietal aromas and liveliness of the wine. Once fermented, the wine is divided into two batches: half ages for six months in French oak barrels (60%) and American oak (40%) of different capacities (225, 300 and 500 liters), while the other half remains in stainless steel tanks. During this period, all batches are kept on their lees, providing creaminess, volume in the mouth and aromatic complexity. The result is an elegant white wine, with notes of white fruit, flowers, citrus, tropical touches and a delicate spiced background from barrel aging.
On the palate it shows fresh, balanced and with a persistent finish.
