Vizar Verdejo Barrel Fermented

Organic from Bodegas Vizar, presents us this white wine V.T. Castilla y León, Spain; created from 100% Verdejo grape varieties. Aged in French oak barrels. A wine with great personality, surprising, which will continue to improve over the years. Bodegas Vizar is located on an estate on the banks of the Duero River in the municipality of Villabañez (Valladolid), 22 kilometers from the capital. It has 90 hectares of land where the Winery and the entire vineyard are located.

The vineyards of the estate have witnessed various civilizations that populated Spain. The estate was historically part of the now disappeared town of Peñalba. The town emerged during the Reconquest on the southern bank of the Duero River, on the opposite side to the Christian lands. The estate once belonged to the Dukes of Alba, later passing through various hands over the centuries, until it currently belongs to the Zarzuela family. The family, betting on the area and its rural environment, and believing in the possibilities of the estate and vineyards, brings quality wines to the wine market.
