What makes a Ribera del Duero so special? 🍷

To talk about Ribera del Duero is to talk about intensity, elegance and character. This prestigious Spanish denomination of origin has become synonymous with powerful and long-lived wines, recognized worldwide for their unique personality.

Extreme altitude

The vineyards of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin are located between 720 and 1,000 meters above sea level. This extreme altitude favors slow and balanced grape ripening, concentrating aromas and providing firm and elegant structure to the wine.

Harsh climate

The area is characterized by long, cold winters, short, hot summers, and a large thermal oscillation between day and night. This demanding climate forces the vine to struggle, producing smaller grapes with greater concentration of color, tannins and flavor.

Powerful Tempranillo grape

The great protagonist is Tempranillo —also known locally as Tinta del País or Tinto Fino—. In Ribera del Duero it reaches intense expression: ripe black fruits, spiced notes, toasted touches and a robust structure that allows excellent barrel aging.

Unmistakable character

A Ribera del Duero is recognizable in the glass: deep color, powerful body, marked but elegant tannins and long persistence that invites you to keep enjoying. They are ideal wines to accompany red meats, traditional roasts and special moments.
